Here you are a list of videos to practise everyday English.
There are 29 from a total of 32 because three of them
have been left out.
The dialogues are about everyday situations, so I think
it will be very helpful for you to improve your speaking skill.

REVISING WITH FUN!!
REVISION OF PERSONALITY ADJECTIVES
Here you are a song "Hand in my pocket" by Alanis Morissette which contains personality adjectives.
Now do the following activity which Cristina Cabal, an English teacher at a Spanish E.O.I., has made.
DESCRIBING PEOPLE
One of the contents of the unit we have just started is "How to describe people".
We have already seen some vocabulary related to people´s character, and at the
end of the unit you´ll have to be able to describe someone´s appearance and personality.
Watch the following video as a warming up activity. As you watch the video you´ll
read along the descriptions. Look up in your dictionary any word you don´t understand.
As you have seen in the video you should follow this order:
- Write a short introduction: tell us who the person you are going to describe is, ...
- Start describing his/her physical appearance.
- Write about his/ her personality.
- You can add his/her hobbies, habitual activities or something else.
- Finally write a conclusion: your opinion about him/her, etc.
GOOD LUCK!!!!!

IMAGINE BY JOHN LENNON
Here is a marvellous PowerPoint presentation, which matches
John Lennon's lyrics with some beautiful images.
The song was described by Lennon himself as anti-religious,
The song was described by Lennon himself as anti-religious,
anti-capitalist, and anti-nationalistic.
Imagine is played enthusiastically in over 100 countries around the world.
In 2004, Imagine was voted the 3rd greatest song of all time,
Number 1 - 'Like a rolling stone' by Dylan and
number 2 - 'I can't get no Satisfaction' by the Rolling Stones.
I´ve chosen this one from slideshare but there are lots of them.
You can dare and make a new one, can´t you?

Why don´t we speak English?
Since I
started teaching English up to now people have given so many different reasons
for not speaking English:
·
I won´t need it to communicate with
people since I´m not travelling to the U.K.
·
Let them learn Spanish to communicate
with us.
·
Although I can´t understand English
written and I usually read English books, speaking is very difficult for me.
·
I´d really love to be able to speak
English but it´s so difficult.
These are
some of a never ending list of them which students used to or usually give
teachers in class. Our answer is always the same:
Of course you can! Just try !
It has been really difficult, almost
impossible, to think of someone I know who is not studying English by now. The
only person I know that has never studied English is one of my four sisters,
she decided not to, but believe me, I couldn´t find anyone else.
I´m teaching boys and girls that started
learning English at the age of 3 or 4 when they were at the nursery school, and
most of them still find it difficult to speak English.
There is no other language in the
world which has ever been studied by so many people as English is. We have
millions of sites to learn and practice English. How can one say English is so
difficult when everything we find in the Internet, the music most of us listen
to, the TV series we prefer, etc. are made in English?
It´s about time we have the bull by the horns!
For all this, I thought it would be a good idea to open a twitter account so that my students write in English. I hope they will get used to think in the language they are learning. Here you are the link:
Welcome to

"My English Companion"
This blog has been created with an only aim :
That students start getting on with English.
I´ll give you links to several sites with lots of activities to have fun and to practise the different skills, so that you find it easier and easier to learn English.
¡¡¡ I wish I achieved my goal!!!
